On Saturday, October 12, the Museum hosted around 30 visitors who were attending the Joint Denver & Rio Grande Western/Missouri Pacific Historical Societies National Convention being held in Pueblo. Volunteers Dwight Maxey, Colin Mellin, Reid Adams, Bruce Davis, Russ Covington, Polly Cotton, Dannis Hudson, Henry Falko, Chris Traficante, Ron Roach, John McDowell and Paul Brown all made sure that the group had a good time and were able to check out all areas of our Museum. Of course we had locomotive and caboose rides available, and tours of the shop area at a nice leisurely pace over the afternoon hours. Reid and Paul, who were attending the convention, heard from some of the visitors Saturday evening that we have a knowledgeable group of volunteers and a real hidden gem of a railroad museum!
I have included a few pictures I was able to take while the tour was going on. The other railroads in town even cooperated by sending a couple of trains by, one of which had a very clean locomotive.
