Other types of donations
If you have railway artifacts, equipment, memorabilia, books, maps, timetables or other paperwork, we are always interested in additions to our museum collection. We also need restoration supplies such as lumber and hardware. We can also use rail, ties, tie plates and switch parts which need not be new, for trackage repairs and improvements. Please contact our office to make arrangements for material donations. Please estimate the value of your donation and we will provide documentation for income tax purposes.
And speaking of taxes…
There are potential tax advantages to donating stock to a 501(c)3 organization such as the PRF. The IRS allows donations of stock to a 501(c)3 with no tax impact to the donor, regardless of how much the value of the stock may have increased over time. If you are considering a donation of stock to the Pueblo Railway Foundation, please Email Us for more information.
