On Saturday, June 7, volunteers Dwight, Colin, Bruce, Abel, Nick, and Paul worked to get the Museum outhouse cart back in service. Earlier in the week, Kendall replaced the deck boards and painted the cart, and today the group got the outhouse installed on the cart, bolted down, and relocated back to the collection area by Union Depot. This maneuver required moving the AT&SF caboose out of the way – which required using the Trackmobile – and then the Gang Car moved the outhouse cart.
After completing this important work, we cleaned off the engines in the Trackmobile and the Gang Car. Some de-greaser and the pressure washer made quick work on this. Bruce also did some more work to the C&W Caboose interior.
I have included a few pictures of today’s activity.
