On Saturday, October 4, volunteers Dwight, Colin, Kendall, Dannis, Nick, Henry and Paul gathered to get the most important job at the Museum done…pulling out and cleaning up the weeds that grow all over the place! The crew cleared weeds from along the tracks in the shop yard, and also got to some along our main running track. With that work done, it was time to take a lunch break.
After lunch, the crew spread out over several small projects including working on our Massey Ferguson forklift, arranging tools in the shop, and a bit of work to the air horn on Engine 104. We then fired up Engine 103 so that we could move our Haunted Railcar to the Depot area to get things ready for the Halloween event coming on October 25th. After completing that work we tied up for the day.
I have included a few pictures of the work done. If you are not able to see the pictures, click here to go to our Blog Page.
