On Saturday, June 3, despite a little rain, volunteers Dwight Maxey, Colin Mellin, Kendall Crouch, Petar Sredojevic, Bryan Tong, and Paul Brown, got the donated display cabinets moved into the shop. As you can see in the pictures, these are some really nice cabinets that will be put to good use in the future as we build up our Museum displays. We finished the move just in time to take lunch, and see if the weather would clear enough to let us take on another task.
Well, the rain stopped, so we jumped at the chance to get a long standing task completed, which was to hang a locomotive sculpture and a really nice sign on the front wall of our shop. The locomotive is a really heavy metal work that adds a nice touch to the front of the building, and the new sign puts our name out for all to see. A sense of accomplishment was felt by all at the end of the day!
I have included a few photos of the work done today. Watch for our next event coming on June 17th.
