On Saturday, July 31, we had a small crew show up to get some more track repair work completed. Dwight Maxey, Colin Mellin, Tyler Seeley and Paul Brown braved some high humidity conditions to replace two broken ties in the sharp carve that leads to our shop area. We were able to get the old ties out and the new ties under the rail and spiked before we took a lunch break. After lunch we finished tamping some ballast under the ties and dressing the roadbed before shutting down for the day.
I have attached some photos to illustrate the work completed.
